Manufactured traditionally by hand

In traditional forging technology unique damascus steels are created in the Balbach smithy. The handcrafted composite steels undergo a complex production process and meet all customer-specific requirements. Forged with the help of traditional coal forging fires and gas ovens on the anvil or one of five power hammers.

DSC carbon

DSC carbon is a non-stainless Damascus, which is made of at least two proven performance steels in the fire-welding process.

DSC austenit

DSC austenit is a austenitic, non-curable, non-magnetic and always stainless damascus steel. This composite is particularly suitable for jewelery and decorative elements of all kinds.

DSC inox

DSC inox is a stainless, martensitic damascus steel, which is produced using our patented welding process. This composite consists of two modern and highly alloyed knife steels.

DSC titan

DSC titan is a composite material of at least two different degrees of titanium. It is corrosion-resistant, offers high strength and is lighter than steel. This composite is particularly suitable for jewelery and decorative elements of all kinds.

DSC inox-s

DSC inox-s is a stainless, martensitic damascus steel, which is produced using our patented welding process. This alternative inox composite consists of Swedish materials.

Damascus variants

On request, the Balbach forge offers rare damascus varieties like meteorite damascus, G3 damascus, Eurofighterdamascus, and Leodamast®. Damascus combinations according to customer requirements are also possible on request.
